Carol Costa

Treasurer

Carol Costa from Fairfax, California, is our treasurer. She has been involved in MIRC (Marin Immigrant Rights Coalition) and works with the Canal Alliance to get the Marin County sheriff to act around Trust Act. She volunteers on a Spanish language hot line for the Community Initiative for Visiting Immigrants in Confinement (CIVIC) and teaches a long-standing popular Spanish language class for seniors atWhistlestop in San Rafael. Carol regularly visits Mexico and Spain, where she has family, along with going on many of the Task Force’s international delegations. Carol helped produceWhy We Come (Por Que Venimos), a documentary about Latin American migrants. She is a retired teacher of ESL (English as a second language) at a local college where she worked with immigrants for many years.
